Tematy i logistyka

Recepcja: Kasyno Oficerskie (Zyblikiewicza 1).
Większość warsztatów odbywa się w Kasynie Oficerskim (sale Restaurant oraz Underground). Nieliczne odbywają się w Cechu Rzemiosł Spożywczych (Guild Hall), tuż za rogiem.

Wszystkie warsztaty prowadzone są po angielsku, dlatego również tematy podajemy w tym języku.

  • Variations Part I. Tools for improvisation
    During the workshop, you will learn useful structures that help you to improvise variations with more confidence.
  • Variations Part II. Tools for musicality
    Using the structures of improvisation, we will dive into musicality of Variations that will offer you to dance it in many different ways.
  • Dilara SOLO. Technique for BOTH ROLES: turn system, ocho technique for both roles
    This workshop is about analysing rotational dynamics in couple. Understanding ocho technique for both roles, connecting to the turn system.
  • Dilara SOLO. Technique for BOTH ROLES: dynamics in connection and communication
    This workshop is about understanding the dynamics in connection and communication in couples. We will work on basic step technique , change of weight and cross.
  • Dilara SOLO. FOLLOWER’s technique: boleos
    We will learn to execute different types of boleos in this workshop, we will work on the basic boleo and differentiate various types of boleos. We will work with a little choreo in the end.
  • Dilara SOLO. FOLLOWER’s technique: adornos for social dancing
    Adornos are part of the steps and not external to the movement. We will explore when to use and how to use adornos involving them into our dance. We will work with a little choreo in the end.

  • Stage tango. Choreographic composition
    We will work on a group choreography composed of basic tango stage resources. Although it will be simple, we will focus on refining the details so that each class member can stand out in their execution and understand the elements we use in both group and individual execution. At the end of the class, our goal will be to film a video of the choreography to share among the students.
  • Stage tango. Lifts up, down, and in the ground
    This class is aimed at those who already have experience in tango stage and want to perfect their technique and organize the concepts that generate doubts about the marking and execution of simple jumps in tango. Through specific exercises, we will work on improving the precision and elegance of jumps so that you can confidently incorporate them into your repertoire of movements.
  • Musicality. How to dance to Di Sarli, D’Arienzo, Caló
    Intermediate level special class. With music selected by Ornella as a tango DJ, we will provide all the necessary resources to dance to the most well-known orchestras of the golden era of tango.
  • Embrace. Enjoy dancing with comfort and elegance
    In this class, we will learn how to provide the best possible embrace in tango. We will explore the connection points that we use as both leaders and followers to mark and follow movements. We will work on the sensitivity of the leader and follower to ensure that all movements are comfortable and fluid. Our main premise will be: „If it’s uncomfortable, it’s not right.” Don’t miss this opportunity to improve your tango skills and learn to enjoy dancing with comfort and elegance.
  • Stage tango. Changes in speed
    Learn how to control the speed of the dance, including accelerating, braking, and making strategic pauses, is essential for creating a striking choreography. Additionally, it is also important to know how to dance the „NO movement.” With these tools, you can take your tango dance to the next level.
  • Sacadas masterclass
    This seminar is the perfect opportunity for you to learn and practice all the possibilities of sacadas in tango, from the most traditional to the most contemporary. We will explore each technique in depth, with the aim of improving your ability to perform sacadas smoothly and accurately
  • Ornella SOLO. Follower’s technique – different possibilities of the axis
    During the training, we practice walking, ochos, and boleos, exploring the different possibilities of the axis. Finally, we integrate everything into a final sequence.
  • Leo SOLO. Leader’s technique – stop thinking about leading
    In this special class, we will review all the basic concepts of leading and train how to stop thinking about leading in order to master your own dance with confidence

    How to use muscle tone to add accents/different colors to enrich your dances, like alternation of leader/follower’s independent movements for interpretation of different layers of music/instrument;
